Infrastructure, Development & Community Mayoral Forum with Goshen High School U.S. Government Classes
Questions will be generated by Goshen High School's seven sections of U.S. Government classes - one question from each class will be asked by a student to the candidates. Teachers Mr. Weldy, Ms. Clark and Mr. Wohlford will oversee the process and field question cards submitted by the audience. Hosted by The Elkhart Truth and held at the Greencroft Community Center's John & Polly Jennings Auditorium (the building in the middle of the circle drive).
This is the second of two sponsored forums by The Goshen News and Goshen Chamber of Commerce in which voters will get to know the candidates running for seats on City Council as well as the mayor’s office. On Oct. 13 voters met the five candidates running for two At-Large seats. On this night, voters will meet the 10 candidates running for five district City Council seats and the two candidates running for mayor of this fine city. The forum will begin with City Council District 1 and work its way through to District 5. The second half of the night will be devoted to the mayoral candidates.
First of the two election forums held by the Goshen Chamber of Commerce - moderated by the Goshen News.
